German road regulations for heavy transport
- Toll Collect — mandatory for all vehicles >7.5t on German Bundesstraßen and Autobahnen. Rate: €0.19–0.35/km depending on emission class
- Driving ban — Sundays and holidays, all vehicles >7.5t prohibited on German roads (exceptions for permit holders with urgent deliveries)
- Maximum dimensions without permit — Width: 2.55m, Height: 4.0m, Length: 16.5m (truck+trailer)
- Oversized transport (Schwertransport) — requires Bundesland permit from each state on the route
